Infrastructure / Network  Engineer :

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is stationed in Australia, supporting the Infrastructure, data centers, and network domestically and internationally. As a key member of the infrastructure group, the role is part of a technical team responsible for supporting a wide range of technologies. This role is an integral part of the support and ongoing production operations team. This is a Mid-Level Position that handles 2nd & 3rd level support of our Windows and Linux platforms.

Skills
 

• Ability to troubleshoot complex networks and security infrastructure.

• High-level engineering design in the following technologies: Cisco networking, CheckPoint firewalls, F5, VMWare.

• Having a solid working experience and understanding of Windows Active Directory, Windows DNS, Backup and recovery methodologies, VMware Virtualization, web filtering, Cisco LAN and WAN technologies is required.

• Build relationships with internal application & data owners and main stakeholders of the platforms.

• Manage network related change events and communicate to stakeholders.

• Keep current on competitive technology.

• On-call rotation schedule for after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of network architecture and networking concepts. Cisco networking certifications highly desirable.

• Prior industry work experience as a network administrator or network engineer

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in working in a complex/enterprise IT environment

• System security and compliance administration a plus

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

• Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills

• Work independently and in a team environment (same team and cross-functional teams).
